2.10 Nameplate. A permanent nameplate shall be attached to the product. Unless otherwise specified
in the acquisition order (see 6.4(c)), the nameplate shall display the following information:
a.
Nomenclature
b.
Manufacturer's name
c.
Manufacturer's model designation
d.
National stock number (if specified)
e.
Contract or order number (if specified)
f.
Date of manufacture (if specified)
2.11 Caution marking. The dusters shall be marked with the following caution marking:
"CAUTION!"
USE ONLY UNDER THE DIRECT SUPERVISION OF A TRAINED OR CERTIFIED PEST
CONTROL OPERATOR. USE PERSONAL PROTECTION REQUIRED BY OSHA, 29 CFR
1910.132, 1910.133, AND 1910.134, AS APPLICABLE. OCCUPIED AREAS MUST BE
EVACUATED, AND CLEARLY POSTED, PRIOR TO OPERATION.
The marking shall be solvent and wear resistant so that it remains legible during the expected use or life
of the unit.
2.12 Workmanship. All dusters shall be free from defects that could impair their performance or
serviceability. All parts, components, and assemblies shall be clean and free from dirt, sand, fins, pits,
sprues, scale, flux, or any other extraneous material. All edges shall be rounded or beveled.
2.13 Operator's manual. The manufacturer's standard operator instruction manual shall be provided
with each unit.
2.14 Replacement parts list. The manufacturer's standard replacement parts list shall be provided with
each unit.
3. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS
3.1 Recovered materials. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the
maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition
Regulation (FAR).
